The camera can be viewed and controlled from a standard Web browser, video display, or even a compatible cell phone or PDA, with no additional software required. All of the other required software is already inside the camera.With the built-in heat sensor, the camera can be set to record and/ or notify you by email when someone enters the room. It can even automatically move to a preset location when triggered, just in case someone was viewing a different part of the room.With the built-in Privacy mode, your privacy is protected by simply pressing a button. An indicator on the front of the camera turns red, and you know at a glance that the camera is now only accessible by you. The camera can also be set up to show a green light when the camera is being accessed.The camera can be set to automatically record video at certain times and certain speeds. In addition, with optional, external sensors attached to the camera, it's possible for the camera to email or record when triggered by motion, sound, light, timer, or even a push button. I love having these cameras. They were easy to set up and work well almost all of the time. I believe the problem may be my router and not the cameras but I have had to reset the cameras and reset them up a few times over the last several months. Not a huge deal as it is easy but I would prefer that everything work perfectly all the time!

I bought this camera for one reason only; to allow my family back home in Canada to view my wedding here in Texas. After setting it up and testing it a few days before, I was a little worried because it froze up quite often. Sure enough, when the big moment rolled around, the camera locked up and my family was unable to view the wedding. Thanks, Panasonic. $160 down the drain.

I would recommend this camera. It has been very reliable and even works when I view it with my smart cell phone.br /br /The only problem is it is a little expensive.

Panasonic has done a great job with their products. I've got 3 BL-C1A cameras and recently added my first BL-C111A camera for some remote monitoring. The BL-C111A camera seems to be based on a new controller platform that's noticeably quicker than the older cameras and support MPEG video encoding. They've got a complete documentation available to completely control the camera for your own applications if you want something fancier than just their capable web interface. This is great for integrating into home automation and security applications, especially since the camera can detect motion and signal a bunch of different ways.br /br /I'm so pleased with this camera, I just got a couple more!br /br /The only thing lacking here that I'd like to have is the ability to deliver power over the ethernet cable to make cabling a bit neater for some installs.

Hi all,br /br /I also bought that camera 2 weeks ago, unfortunately I can't setup the camera upto now ! br /br /I use Windows Vista, I also turn off the Firewall, Anivirus, Internet browser as the Setup guide require. My laptop and the camera connect to the network router (Linksys EZXS55W) and this router connect to the internet. But when I open the CD to run the setup program, click "Search for camera", it doesn't work ! The Windows says it must close the program right now, and then I can't continue the setup's steps.br /br /I also call for customer service from Panasonic, but they can't send technician to help me to setup the camera.br /br /Now I don't know what to do with the camera because it was not setup yet !br /br /Can anybody help me how to setup it ? For example when you click to "Search for camera", do you see any comment form Windows ? What did you do to continue the setup process ?br /br /Anyway thanks for reading, I just find the people who already use this product to help me setup the camera and begin use it.br /br /Thank You,br /br /br /-----------------------------------------br /br /Updatedbr /br /Now I can setup it, if your auto setup program on CD can't find the camera, you can run the "EasyConfig" in "Netcam" on the CD setup, it look like you find the camera by yourself.br /br /Good camera, I like it !
