Great camera would definitely recommend July 20, 2010 IrishPearl11 This camera is very easy to use and very lightweight. It takes great pictures and has lots of different settings.
Cheap piece of junk July 17, 2010 mathmama 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is my 2nd Nikon Coolpix. I should have known better. My first Nikon (S220) served me well till my daughter dropped it from a low height, and the lens was knocked so that it would not close. Camera would no longer work. I replaced it with this model (S570). Wish I had done my homework better. Nice looking sleek model, light, easy to carry. Not too hard to use, but not easy to get GOOD pictures. The main problem is that, for no apparent reason, while the camera was in its case in a side pocket of shorts, the LCD screen broke and "bled". Now the camera is unusable, though it functions, because I can't view anything on the LCD screen.
Sent it back to Nikon for repair (had it only 1.5 months). OF COURSE, this repair is NOT under warranty, so they want to charge me $87 to repair, plus tax and S/H. This means I can pay $104 to repair my $139 camera. I don't think so. Now I see other reviews where people had similar problems.
These cameras break too easily. Invest in something more sturdy and reliable.
Awful Picture Quality July 13, 2010 Jennifer Burke (Boston, MA USA) I like to think I am a decent picture taker. I have had many digital cameras but none as bad as this one. It is cute and I love the pink color but I have yet to take a decent picture. I have tried indoor, outdoor, closeups, distant landscape pictures, everything. And every single picture comes out blurry. I have tried every setting possible, nothing works. I'm extremely disappointed in this camera.
dont waste your money July 5, 2010 honey81 (houston,tx) i bought this camera when it first came out. it took great out door piotures. i never really took anything indoors. when i started taking indoor low lit pictures. the picture quality was terrible. the pictures were fuzzy, when the flash worked. on certain functions the flash will not work. then if the face softening is used you cant use the zoom. this is not a user friendly camera. i would have sent it back if i had found out all the disfunctions before the time was up. i am now buying a much cheaper polaroid camera that does all the same functions without the price and is user friendly.
if you only want out door pictures buy this one. if not pass on this model its a waste of money. also if you use the zoom feature all your pictures are fuzzy not clear and in the action mode pictures are not clear and you can not use the zoom in that mode either....skip this model.
Great camera for the price June 20, 2010 L. Beane (Sebastian, FL., US) Have only had the camera for a couple of weeks now so I'm still learning about all it's features.. but have to say it is way better than the Kodak I had before I got this one. I like the long life of the battery and that it can be recharged easily. Also like the different scene settings that allow for all the different photo situations. It's simple and easy to use. Only thing I don't like is that the pressure it takes to take a shot usually moves the camera and I end up with a fuzzy pic.
