This is a real nice, compact lens that turns your Coolpix into a powerful telescopic camera. The only drawback I find so far is that the instruction sheet that comes with it is only in Japanese. Setup is intuitive, but I would like to know if there are features or capabilities that I might be missing. Requests to Nikon USA were met with the reply that this lens is not sold in the USA, so there is no English language instruction sheet. Excuse me? I just bought one!... and not from some obscure source...from Amazon!
Still, I can set it up and use it. But I would like to know a little bit more about how yo get the most out of it.
