Also compatible with the optional BL-3 battery chamber--which supports the MD-D10 grip for the D300 and D700 cameras--the battery employs lithium technology to ensure a maximum battery life and maximum power. Plus, the battery doesn't suffer from a memory effect, so you can recharge partially drained batteries without reducing performance. 5 out of 5 stars Professional quality - professional performance!   May 26, 2010
M. Martinez (California)
This battery allows me to shoot all day without worrying about how much juice I have left. This kind of peace of mind is priceless. A professional battery for professional photographers that gets the job done.

5 out of 5 stars Not cheap, but useful   March 17, 2010
John A. Kirchstein (Newark, DE United States)
Only way to get the 8 frame per second response from D300. Don't trust after-market versions...

5 out of 5 stars Does its job   March 3, 2010

Long battery life and works great with my D3S. In addition to the integrated memory and life, I highly recommend the product.

5 out of 5 stars Well worth the cost   February 6, 2010
Thomas B. Dickey (Hyrum, Utah)
This item is packed with power to spare. In my D300 I can easily shoot well over three thousand picturers on a charge. I purchased a second MB-10 to use on really big shoots.

4 out of 5 stars Really great battery..but..one problem..   December 2, 2009
R. Adams (Paradise Valley, AZ)
Just as Nikon states, these things last forever. I can go for a full weekend without worry. However I carry a second battery as a backup.

But...yes..there is a but. One of my Nikon EN-EL4a batteries just simply died on me. (yes it is a Nikon product). A few months ago, I was in the field shooting and the day had just begun. The battery was charged the night before and showed a full charge on the camera. Within 2 pictures and no warning it died. (sadly this was before I brought along a backup battery).

I've talked to Nikon USA service and they have had instances of this happening to others. My rule of thumb is to take 2 batteries with me and the charger for anything overnight.

I have not had the problem since then and write this off as perhaps a bad battery.
