 Software Installation Problems on XP Media Edition July 31, 2010

I'm certain this is an excellent piece of hardware but I never had the opportunity to find out because the software would not install on my Windows XP Media Center computer. The error messages referred to missing dll's which were not on the installation disc. There is no live support and I could not find this issue on the FAQ's. So I am returning this to Amazon.

This is my first Web Cam. I bought one for myself and one for my parents that live out of town.The setup was relatively easy, I'm using it with Skype. I had some issues setting it up initially using the enclosed software disc, so I followed other user's advice and downloaded the software directly from Logitech and that made all the difference. I'm using all the auto settings for lighting and focus which appear to work quite well. I got a great price thru Amazon and would highly recommend this camera.

This webcam was easy to install and set up. I like it's streamlined look and how "positionable" it is when it rests on top of my monitor. The only thing is - why can't the USB cable be a little longer? A person doesn't always have their CPU right next to the monitor!

This is the first time that I have purcased a Webcam to keep in touch with family. The product arrived quicker than anticipated...it had mentioned that it would take several months but arrived within less than two weeks. The customer service that Amazon provided was wonderful. They sent various emails to inform me on the status of the purchase. The webcam was easy to set-up and begin using (all u do is connect to a USB port and run the installation CD), the picture quality is exceptional the majority of the time! I have a DSL modem and the picture at time blurs and freezes, thus if you have a slower internet connection, I would believe, it would occur more often. I did however give 4 stars to low-light performance because my experience has been that you need to be an area with plenty of light - especially at night. Overall, this product is worth purchasing but I reccomend that you compare and shop. A relative bought the same webcam at a significantly lower price elsewhere.

workes great out of the box, Add on's are great but avatars are a little slow and I could use more of them.
