It's easy to use March 14, 2010 Mariano Villano (Caracas, Venezuela) The concept of e-book its per se an great invent, and this Kindle has the perfect size to read any book, useful to study with 3 or 4 books in only one thin "book", and price of this equipment returns the money with the saving of papers and printer ink.
Just only two observations: I think that was more light, and is slow with large books, but are two things that will improve with time.
Congratulations with the idea!!

Kindle DX reader March 14, 2010 Received the unit in good shape and on time, as promised. Easy to setup (indeed it was already setup for me by the vendor. I was able to order books and get on with reading them within minutes after having the internal battery charged up. Great unit to own. No complaints so far.

The Kindle DX is an amazing reader. I love it !!I take it everywhere I go.It's easy on the eyes and easy on the fingers. Downloading is one click away! I highly recommend this reader and all the gadgets , that go with it. I should have purchased one, a year ago. It.s truely amazing!!!
I love it March 14, 2010 V. Older (SAN JOSE, CA, US) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love it. Download is seamless. I love getting subscriptions. As a book reader of diversified likes I love how easy it is to switch around from one item to the next and it always takes me to the page where I left off. It's a little heavy, but the larger format makes this very enjoyable to read. And now I can download the same items to my computer so books like Shakespear Complete Works is easier to get around. The fact that most books are cheaper then hardcopies and that I don't have to crate more bookshelf space is a plus. I can well imagine using this to determine if there are books I want to make a part of my permanent library.
I love that I don't have to worry about recycling magazines when I'm finished with them. I look forward to them adding more choices.
I found it intuitive to use and the print is the perfect size for my 60 year old eyes. I'm grateful my brother talked me into this purchase. I expect to enjoy this for many years to come. I look forward to the time they upgrade it to color.
E-ink display is great but the input interface is not as good March 14, 2010 Y. CHENG (Jersey City, NJ) I ordered the Kindle DX in the hope of a more comfortable and environment-friendly reading.
The display is easy on the eyes just like the way a book is. However the lack of a
touchscreen or a stylus technology makes it difficult to mark the pages, which is indispensable
when it comes to reading.
Also the support for PDF is still not improved, for there are only 2 font sizes currently
(when you hold it horizontally or vertically). There are plenty of kindle
e-books available for purchase, but some books are nearly twice the price of a paperback
edition, which is a very funny phenomenon(the cost of a few megabytes vs. printing).
The e-ink readers are promising, but they definitely have a long way to go. If you are
tech-savvy guy and or to have a light-weight reading device instead of a 2 pounder book,
then Kindle DX is still something for you.
