Audiovox D2010 10.2-Inch Widescreen Ultraslim Portable DVD Player January 7, 2009 No huge review necessary don't buy this product had it less than a year and it's junk. Lesson to be learned DON'T BUY CHEAP ELECTRONICS! Go with Phillips, Sony, Sanyo, Toshiba, Polaroid, etc. My Polaroid portable DVD player lasted 6 years before it finally played it's last disc and I used it every day for my kids, while I exercised, at work, vacation etc.
Audiovox DVD Player Reivew December 21, 2008 This is a great portable DVD Player for my 5 year old. This is the 3rd one we purchased and it has held up magnificently over the past 3 years.br /br /It is sturdy and now that she is older it will last longer. It is the perfect thing on her bedtray at night to watch one dvd and then off it goes and she goes to bed. Unfortunately, our fault, she got crumbs and droppped the first one but this also has the largest screen size, much better than those 8 or 7 inch models. br /br /She uses it every single night and we take it on trips and wherever we need to her to be quiet for an hour or so. It is easy to operate and she can work all the buttons herself. I have no problem with the volume loudness as I read in other reviews as a matter of fact I have to tell her to turn in down occasionally because she turns it up too much.br /br /Hope this helps with your purchasing decision.
What a great deal December 2, 2008 We have now had this product for over 2 years with no problems. My fiance (who I bought this for) travels a lot so it is great for the plane and she uses it quite a bit. br /br /People are right about the built-in speakers, but it doesn't really affect us with the 2 headphone jacks in which the sound is great. (on planes i recommend noise cancelling headphones) br /br /It seems like it's pretty fragile, but like i said nothing has broken on this thing, no screen problems and we don't even have a proper carrying case for it (she uses an old handbag). The clarity on the screen is great. I can't understand a few of the reviews I read where the clarity wasn't enough. Is it like my HD Tv at home... absolutely not... but is it fuzzy or blurry, definitely not! br /br /As for the battery life, it has been pretty good. After two years of treating the battery nice (the first 3 times let it charge all the way UP, then run the battery out completely - just like a cell phone) it lasts through about 1:55 minutes, where I would say it used to last around 2:30 hours. The reason I am even reviewing this is I am purchasing a 2nd battery for my fiance for christmas so she can watch longer movies.br /br /Bottom line is if you need something to watch DVD's on, this thing does the job. A 10.2 slim portable dvd player for $150 is a great deal and you don't have to lug around a laptop in the airport.
My 15 year old love's it!!! February 16, 2008 This was bought for my 15 year old daughter to watch movie's on when she didn't want to watch what we were watching, needless to say she love's it, and never watches T.V. with us. She was also impressed with all the features, you can do stuff with your digital picture's, and all manner of thing's I can't understand, you've got to be a kid to run all the extra's!~!!
Happy with this purchase! January 27, 2008 This was a gift for my 83 year old mother, and she LOVES IT! Couldn't be more pleased! Very fast shipping! Helpful people when I gave the incorrect address. Thank you!
