 The CD doors on the unit malfunctioned from the day I got it December 29, 2008
This was my Christmas gift and my husband and I spent a lot of time researching a new cd player before we settled on it. I was very disappointed when I received it and set it up and it didn't work. The iPod portion worked fine but neither of the doors on the cd player worked. One just opened and closed repeatedly by itself and the other side wouldn't open at all. I sent it back to the manufacturer and besides acknowledging it's receipt, I haven't received a response as to when they are going to get a new one to me that works.

I am very disappointed with this product. The iLuv does an okay job playing music. The bass is, well, nonexistant! Sure it's cute and trendy to look at. But it really doesn't do as well of a job as I expected for about $200 dollars. The only thing I should have to add to this product is my iPod. For that price I shouldn't HAVE to add an external subwoofer! I feel like I got taken. br /br /So the remote to this system didn't work. I called the customer service line and I was sent another one. Great, you say? Well not so great when they sent the wrong remote. Then the C.S. manager argued with me about the functions of my original remote. That manager told me that I was wrong and that the broken remote I was holding IN MY HAND, while talking to her, didn't exist!!! I was finally able to speak with someone in the Tech Dept and he comfirmed what I'd been saying to the other manager. It was just that they didn't make that remote anymore. (I bought the iLuv right after they came out late 2006/2007.) But he did have an extra on hand and sent it to me no charge. That was cool!br /br /Other than the shrew in Customer Service that I had to deal with, all was okay. But I don't love the iLuv. It just sits on my bookshelf collecting dust. I hardly ever use it. Instead I use my speaker system on my computer. That has amazing sound! I'm still looking for something else, though. I'll tell you what, I will NEVER buy another Item with the iLuv brand. Too much drama and hype about a product that does NOT deliver!!!

I had the feeling the product was refurbished before I opened it :) However, after using it for a day I needed to return it in order to save my marriage. My wife was very unhappy with the product. CD player hung all the time like old CD players do after a while.br /br /your call

Functionality, sound and controls all as advertised. Remote and iPod charger work fine. Great deal for the money. Slightly bigger than I thought with the detached speakers.

Compact, yet elegant. Uses it as an alarm clock and soothing music to fall asleep to...br /br /The bass is a little weak. But an exteranl subwoofer can be attached. br /br /Very nice!
