Panasonic SC-EN35 is a stereo system that is designed to be placed on a desk, table, or typical shelf. Small, sleek, and stylish, this little marvel includes a CD player that can play regular commercial CDs as well as CDR and CDRW discs. A digitally-tuned AM/FM radio has up to 32 programmable station memories that let you preset your favorite radio stations for easy access. Two separate speakers deliver sumptuous stereo sound. Though the overall system (with speakers next to it) is only about 15 inches wide, the spatial quality of the sound seems much wider. A bass enhancement mode delivers full, rich audio that you wouldn't expect from a relatively tiny system that could be placed virtually anywhere. The SC-EN35 also adds potential XM satellite-radio tuner capability. When you're a subscriber to XM radio, and add an optional XM antenna, you can receive XM broadcasts. I bought this item mainly because of it's mp3 input ability.br /It is an OK system, but lacks in various areas.br /br /1.The AC input is into the left speaker. Seems like a strange place to connect to the power source.br /2. The sound quality controls are not to my liking. There should separate controls for treble and bass.br /br /3. The overall sound quality is not as good as expected. Might work in small room.br /br /This is not the system for you if your target is very good sound quality.

Panasonic SC-EN35 Micro System, XM Radio readybr /br /Because I have had luck in the past with a previous Panasonic Micro System I was eager to update with an XM Ready model. However, this was not what I hoped it would be. It is easy to use and the styling is nice, even more so in person. But, the sound quality is horrible. If you want to listen to talk radio or music just above a whisper you will be fine. Beyond that you will be disappointed. While this may sound like I am an audiophile I am not. The sound was very hollow and no matter what EQ setting I used it did not improve. With more volume came more distortion. You will get just what you pay for. Best of luck.
