Not too bad January 2, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's not a bad dock. I wish they would have squared the bottom so you didn't have to fold out the dock and back support to keep it upright. br /The dock adapters fit, in my opinion, too securely. If your iPod doesn't fit in the one you've inserted, it takes a bit more effort than it should to get it out. But the dock adapters aren't really needed, because the iPod rests nicely in the impression.br /The sound is clear and can get pretty loud, but the claim of deep bass, unless the unit requires a big burn-in time, is false. An iRhythms unit half the size of this one sounds much better in the same room, with the same iPod, playing the same music.br /It's a good travel speaker, but not for those who like bass.
Works with iPod Touch (2nd Gen) December 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Works wonderfully as both speakers and a charger for my iPod Touch (2nd Gen.) Clear and crisp sound which is loud enough to fill multiple rooms even with noisy party guests. Only "functions" are the on/off switch and a slide volume control. The only con is that I must remove the bottom of the hard case (which I purchased separately) in order to place on the dock.
Much better than expected December 11, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Rec'd this yesterday, inserted my Ipod Nano G3, and was very surprised at the sound and quality of this unit. Fills the room with clear, pleasant music. No regrets.
It works with iPhone G3 December 10, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It works with no problems with my iPhone G3. It fits nicely in the dock and still charges. It gives you a warning when you first plug in your phone that it was not made to be used with the iPhone and suggests you put your phone on airplane mode. I haven't had any issues with interference noise with the phone on normal mode even when recieving a call while it was playing. I have been using it to play "pandora" internet radio using the wifi on the phone and it works great.
Great Speaker Option (Works With iPod Nano 4th gen) November 29, 2008 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
It has been noted that the 4th generation iPod Nano has some backward compatibility issues with other devices. For example, the 4th gen nano won't charge on a lot of older docking stations.br / I can confirm that these Altec Lansing speakers will charge your iPod Nano 4th generation. See uploaded photo. I was actually assuming it wouldn't because the description only says compatible with "iPod nano 3rd gen". br /br /These speaker sound good for their size. The "aux" in jack is on the back if you want to use these speakers for other types of mp3 player.
