This product is a great gift for someone who needs help with directions. The price was great during the time I purchased it. So I am glad I got it when I did.
Pretty Cool Device, My first GPS... January 8, 2009
Very sensitive receiver, has 4 bars inside my home (can and was used sitting on my car seat easliy)...Spoken directions are ok,not the best... easy to use out of box. br /br /Gives very accurate travel speeds, probably more than the speedometer in my car. Dont know about replacing the battery, says "not user replacment item"????br /br /Very fast map refreash rates, you can add personal names and numbers to your favorites, good for sales people. Can be charged from your computer with a standard USB camera cable hooked to your turned on computer, cables like the ones that come with Canon and HP Cameras. The memory has about 1 GB left, so lots of favs and photos can be added. br /br /Wont play mp3's nor will it talk out the street names like one reviewer said.br /br /Get it, very basic to the point GPS with all you would need to move around from point A to B...Jimbr /br /

Great GPS January 7, 2009
Great GPS, have had 0 problems with signal reception nor with misdirection. It will speak street names (though I turned it off because it got slightly annoying at times) and does a great job tracking my vehicle.

I purchased this GPS as a gift for a 78 year old friend of mine. This Garmin GPS 205 was extremely easy to set up and operate. The voice prompts are very helpful and make up for the small screen size. I highly recommend purchasing the optional "Bean Bag" dash mount. This makes it easier to transfer between cars. This is an excellent quality product from Garmin! I shopped around and looked at TomTom and several other GPS devices and this was by far the easiest GPS out there. And you can't beat the price vs features ration!
