Great - but... March 12, 2010 Angus Ware The cover itself is perfect - it feels soft and comfortable in your hands, fits the kindle perfectly and is easy to attach/detach when required.
However, after about a week of use the inside cover lining became unglued and big air bubbles now form under the lining.
While this doesn't render the cover useless it's not entirely satisfying to know that the item I paid $30 for and then $35 on top of that for postage out to Australia is already busted and clearly from a manufacturing flaw. The problem is that returning the item or replacing it with a new one would still cost me $35 in postage both ways because the Amazon free shipping does not apply to my region - which means the total cost of the product, including postage would be in the range of $135.
Amazon would do well to realise that they're not just a US-centric company anymore... I've been very satisfied with their service in the past and continue to enjoy my Kindle... but they've really put me in a lose-lose situation here!
So I'm in a dilemma - do I keep the broken product, or do I spend a good load of my money on postage (which I shouldn't really have to pay - it's not my fault the case wasn't made properly) and get one that isn't covered in air bubbles.
The product is really great... if you get one that isn't broken.
Better than I expected. March 12, 2010 Mark Daniels (Longview, WA) The kindle securely clips into the leather cover allowing you to open the cover like a book. You can flip the front cover clear around to the back if you wish giving you a tablet to hold, or you can hold it like an open book. I just hope the spine holds up with heavy usage. It seems to be pretty durable. Looks and feels great. Both front and back are rigid providing ample protection. If you want something to protect the kindle from being dropped in the water, this wouldn't be it as the kindle is not fully enclosed when the cover is closed.
Kindle Cover March 12, 2010 Stephanie Schenk (Sumner, WA) The Kindle cover is great! It provides protection to your kindle and the kindle with the cover is still small enough to take anywhere you go!
Good construction March 12, 2010 Douglas Soley Good construction. Easy to handle. Protects the kindle screen. Well worth the price. Recommend it. I would say a bit pricey. Could have come down at least 15%.
kindle cover March 12, 2010 a reader Excellent to cover and protect your kindle.
It is easy to clamp a light, I would only suggest a hook to keep it closed when you do not read your kindle.
