PISS POOR and NO RESOLVE September 3, 2010

I ordered a 50 ft cable and look i got a 25 ft cable. Amazon decides that I can keep the cable or they can ship me the correct one and it would arrive on Tuesday. I paid for next day delivery because I needed it by the weekend so what good is shipping me another one on Tuesday. I have loved Amazon for great customer service and also taking care of shipping issues. I Have to say now that Amazon is now going in the same boat as many of the bad customer service companies I no longer deal with. When did "the customer is always right" get thrown in the garbage with the rest of the trash. I have a gig that this cable was going to be used for and now I have to start driving around kingdom come to find someone who has what I need. WHAT A HASSLE!!!!
The sad thing is that the service rep I spoke with in INDIA couldn't really help and understood my frustration. I find it amazing that amazon doesn't give their service rep the tools to help customers who need to get a product issue resolved. I'm very jaded and these kind of problems have made me leave and never shop with certain companies again.
Amazon, are you willing to loose another customer over bad customer service resolution?
