Great Replacements September 21, 2008 These speakers were ordered to replace ones in a Sony "boom box" that had torn with age. They fit perfectly appear they will have a longer life than the originals.
Not what I expected September 4, 2007 I purchased this speaker to add sound to my kitchen. Because of the layout, two speakers would have been difficult to install. I placed this speaker in a less than ideal location. Given the price of the speaker, and the mounting location, I wasn't expecting audiophile quality sound reproduction. I was, however, expecting sound that wasn't offensive. After installation, I was VERY disappointed. There is no bass, and the higher end of the sound spectrum is "tinny" and muddled. There are many better options out there [at a higher price, of course]. I will be replacing this speaker soon. br /br /UPDATE: I replaced this speaker with an Infinity CS60RDT. The sound difference is incredible. The Infinity was approx. $80.00 including shipping from an Ebay retailer. Don't make the same mistake I did. Buy the Infinity to begin with and save yourself some money.
Good speakers for price June 1, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought these speakers looking for an in-ceiling speaker to put in our new home we were building. Our living room is not huge but not small either (18'X18'). I used these speakers for the center channel, left and right channels, and surrounds on a 5.1 system. I am by no means a high end audiophile, however when teamed with my Onkyo receiver and Velodyne sub, the room sounds awesome. When I pop in Gears of War on XBox or some war movie, you get the feeling you're right in the middle of the action. Would definitely recommend.
Not a center channel January 22, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I originally bought this believing from the wording that it would serve as a center channel for a surround system. It does not. It's really two channels in one package. I bought an AudioSource LS300/C instead for the center channel to match my AS6C surround speakers in the ceiling. This works better anyway because I had doubts about mounting the center in the ceiling. I'm currently looking for a good use for this -- I like the idea, but not what I needed.
Decent speaker at a good price. October 2, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The AS7C 6" dual voice speaker is a good solution for a smaller room. I'm quite impressed with AudioSource speakers in general. I have two sets (pairs) of the IC5S in other rooms of the house and have been very happy with them. If you have a larger room (e.g., master suite), go with the IC5S or comparable pair. But if you're looking for a single speaker for a den, hallway, bathroom, etc., the AS7C will work great.
