Sony BRAVIA Theater System (DAVHDX576WF) Great System For The Price January 6, 2009 I was looking for an inexpensive surround sound system for a 2nd TV. I picked this system up at a great price, and I have found it to be worth every penny. Set up was a snap, and the wireless system came on-line without any issues. Sound is much, much better than I expected for a sub $500 system, so I am quite pleased.br /br /Note that I am using this system in a smaller room. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have the horsepower to light up a large room, but if I were looking for another system of this size, I'd buy the DAVHDX576WF without a second thought.
Disappointed January 6, 2009 I bought this New home theater system 576WF with high expectations as I have gone through so many reviews and everyone rated it best. And I own Sony Bravia 46" so that my home theater system sync's with Television.br /br /There is absolute bummer I got when I listen to the sound. Sound clarity is good but surrounds are terrible and weak. I never expected this kind of system from SONY. If we talking about home theater, genuinely we need good surround speakers to make a perfect home theater but here surrounds are wireless and I will rate them ZERO. Although Sony mentions that for the wireless surrounds there should not be any obstruction of signals like telephone, cell phone, internet...etc. but ideally it's not possible to avoid all those in hall to fit this home theater. And there is no custom equalizer, I hate this cause I would like to play with the music and experiment my own styles on it. I'm really disappointed and I returned the product.br /br /Pros:br /br /1.Quality sound from Front speakers and subwoofer.br /2.Good Look and feel.br /3.Price.br /br /Cons:br /br /1.Poor Surround speakers.br /2.Very Less sound output.br /3.Assembling is a mind work, easily kills 2 hours of time.br /4.Not many features like custom equalizer etc...br /
It's Good January 2, 2009 It took about a week for delivery. No shipping cost and no taxes. The instruction manual isn't the greatest. It instructs you to feed the speaker wires through the two little holes in each front speaker stand (pole), which I do not recommend doing because I almost tore the speaker wire. Simply, feed the speaker wire through the pole itself and disregard the two little holes, makes things much easier. Other than that, the setup was pretty easy. The sound quality is good, not great. I have it synced with my Sony W series and I can control the sound with my television or Comcast remote control. The system is aesthetically pleasing and look content with my Sony television. So, I have the digital optical cable running from my television to the Sony receiver. Wireless rear speakers have been known to have their shortcomings, however, these impressed me, especially when watching on a channel that has 5.1 sound. I have an older Panasonic system that has wireless rear speakers and they are awful.br /br /Finally, this is a solid system for your average sized room, but, I would not recommend it for a large living room. I'm sitting about 15 feet away and I thought the system would have a little more juice. It's a good system, but, not overwhelmingly knock you out of your chair bombastic.
The best sound system December 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love sound systems and have seen and put together many for a number of people and this is by far the best I have ever delt with. I think one of the best parts is the wireless sections that you can put anywhere in the house at any time. My wife loves that part more than me because she can cook and listen to the shows that she loves. If you want to play music for a party its also great because you have three sections of speakers and that way no matter where anyone is at the party, the music is there. I would recommend this product over any other sound system there is to buy.
Simple and Neat December 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this product for xmas and it's a very nice one. There were too many components when i unpacked it but when i followed the instructions, it was easy to assemble and i could connect my TV, Cable/Sat and DVD player in 4 hours. br /br /The wireless speakers are great and removes the mess of running wires all over. The wireless receiver and transmitters are very small and easy to setup. The S-Air system is a very nice one. We installed it in the kitchen and it makes cooking easier :)br /br /All in all this is very great product. Would definitely recommend.
