I originally bought this to help my dad hear the TV. (He has 70dB hearing loss w/ 80dB loss at the high end) The detachable mike and the TV extension really work. In fact, when using it, my dad can have the TV so low I can't hear it(a definite positive ;^). He enjoys its benefits so much he wears it nearly all the time. (4 months so far)br /br /In our experience, it is a quality product that lives up to its claims.br /
