Pyle Pro December 12, 2008 Pyle pro did what I needed. Easy hook up from my record player to the pre amp to my receiver. I can hear a little feed back though.
It works! December 1, 2008 At first, I didn't know that I needed one of these to use my old turntable with my new amplifier. But when I found it, I ordered it, and had it plugged in 3 days later. For once, a simple fix for a potentially difficult electronic issue.
Pyle PP-999 Phono Turntable Pre-Amp September 23, 2008 This unit is nice and small .br /Easy to install although it was tricky .br /I had a buzz at first but decided to try and hook up the extra wire that runs with the turntable .I hooked it up to the chasy of the preamp and it was dead quiet .br /All was good from there .It would have been nice if it had some adjustability as the turntable sound was lower than the tuner and CD .br /Overall I was still satisfied .
Does an excellent job for the right price September 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Finally the old amp I have been using for phono records died - and the new(er) amp I use for all my other stereo and TV needs does not have a suitable impedance/level to accept phono input. I looked for a new amp with phono inputs, but the few available are all big $$$ items - and I begrudge it the real estate and more complex wiring it would bring to my system. So when I finally found this little baby which boosts the phono level to match what is expected by the other inputs on the amp - it was just the ticket at minimal cost or extra complexity or wiring. And it does the job perfectly!
Connect your turntable to your computer to record audio files July 26, 2008 I bought this to record LP's to my computer for conversion to MP3's. It works great. Plug your turntable into the pre-amp and the pre-amp into the back of your sound card. Don't forget to ground the turntable to the metal chassis of your computer or you will hear a 60 HZ hum in everything.br /br /Record and convert to MP3's using the free Audacity 1.35 recorder and LAME MP3 converter and you have a better combination than the $60.00 boxes that come with a neutered version of Nero, and it's much cheaper than buying a new USB Turntable. br /
