great fast service. my only chance at an original replacement and unlike an universal charger dont have to worry about someone changing settings
 Noisy on am April 19, 2008
This adapter was noisy on am stations when used with the sony radio.br /Found a generic at Radio Shack , however, that worked just fine and was quiet for about the same price.

Product does everything it says. It does tend to have a little more static interference than just using it on battery power, but not all the time and not enough to make it annoying.

After reading these reviews I decided to try a different adaptor for the Sony radio I purchased from Amazon. The first one I purchased from RadioShack produced the same type of interference as was reported by several people here. I returned that one and purchased a different model which works fine with the Sony radio and produces no interference. The model that works is RadioShack 273-1765. It is a 4.5 V - 700 mA AC-to-DC Adapter. This model costs $ 22.99.
Do Not Buy for AM Radio December 4, 2007
Had same problem as others with this power supply as it imparts loud interference due to being a switching supply. It will not work with AM radios yet this is the accessory that Amazon lists for the Sony ICF-M410V portable radio. It even states this on the package but not in the ads.
